Dr. Stepanian started with Metropolitan Nephrology Associates in 2015 after completing a fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension with Rowan University in New Jersey. There, his training included rounding at Kennedy University Hospitals and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in South Jersey. He completed Internal Medicine Residency with Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and was named Internal Medicine Resident of the Year upon graduating in 2012. He received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from PCOM as well, in 2009. Between residency and fellowship, he spent a year working as a hospitalist with Main Line Health. He is a native of the greater Philadelphia area, and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

He is board-certified in internal medicine as well as nephrology and hypertension by the American College of Osteopathic Internists. He has reported cases of ANCA vasculitis and calcium oxalate nephropathy, and maintains a strong interest in glomerular diseases.

Dr. Stepanian is accepting new patients at our City Avenue office. He is on staff at all of our affiliated hospitals, Roxborough Memorial, Aria Frankford, and Jeanes. As a Clinical Associate Professor for Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he is active in lecturing, teaching, and training students, interns, and residents.
